Janice Kinder’s leadership development program on building high performance teams was offered to inpatient and emergency department clinical leaders at Southcoast Health.  Her uniquely designed program focused on coaching/mentoring as a means of enhancing staff engagement. Leadership skill building included facilitating a solution oriented culture, holding staff accountable to actions they create and agreed to implement, and leveraging the power of team synergy.  As demonstrated in hard data results, this program truly fostered our leaders’ ability to guide their teams in hardwiring solutions.  Additional benefits included identifying the interdependencies of the team and their potential for collaboration with each other.  This enhanced partnership reduced silos between departments and led to greater leadership focus.  Moreover, resulting trust and willingness/ability to address conflict was demonstrated and later modeled outside of the workshop setting.

I enthusiastically endorse Janice Kinder as an executive coach and team development consultant. She is an excellent listener with a talent for asking the right questions to uncover key issues. Janice approaches her projects methodically, focusing on understanding the problem before recommending a plan of action. During the process, she keeps development workshops and interactions tied to the key objectives of the organization. Janice has an engaging style that is pragmatic and not laden with buzzwords. In this way, she quickly establishes credibility, the foundation for her effectiveness.”~ Justin Testa, President, Onset Computer Corporation

Our Administrative Council set a goal of making a good team even more effective as we tackle our ever challenging work. Janice Kinder, the consummate listener, astute planner and skilled facilitator, helped us refine that goal, improve our communication and strengthen our leadership skills. There were meeting sessions when the team arrived stressed and focused on other responsibilities, but left energized and re-committed to improving, even if that meant difficult conversations and changes in work habits.”

I have used Janice Kinder frequently as a leadership coach. Her background in healthcare and her ability to listen have been invaluable to me and my direct reports. She knows the right questions to ask and when to challenge thinking without being threatening. She is direct and truthful but never inappropriate. I have found her coaching services to be effective, supportive and beneficial. Additionally, she maintains complete confidentiality, which I believe is critical to establishing trust.”
Carol Dilliplane, RN, BS, MS, NEA-BC, former Chief Nursing Officer, Interim Healthcare Management Consultant
FCHP engaged Janice as an executive coach to help me deal with a number of management issues. Janice used multiple assessments and techniques to help increase my self-awareness about how I was perceived by others. I became a more active and engaged listener; increased my confidence in a new leadership role; and, perhaps best of all, was able to change behavior without losing the real ‘me.’ Janice was kind and professional. We fostered an excellent working relationship. The coaching sessions were incredibly eye opening. I have learned how vital feedback is to successful outcomes of coaching and to long-term positive impacts. My time with Janice flew by too quickly and I cannot say enough positive things about her.”
~ Pamela Cardaci, former Senior Director, Utilization Management, Fallon Community Health Plan
Janice has been instrumental in my growth as an effective executive, thereby strengthening my company as a whole. Her exemplary skills including critical listening, issue identification, and resolution development provided a successful process for me to approach nearly any management challenge presented. Janice is an ‘impact’ professional whose services and knowledge complement our mission and business model. I recommend her if you want to explore, unlock, and integrate your organization’s potential strengths and opportunities across staff, management, and executives.”

I am happy to report that the leader being coached has been able to find, focus and effectively use her leadership behaviors post time with Janice Kinder, Coach Extraordinaire!” ~ Kelly Cummings, VP, Clinical Services, Tufts Health Plan
Janice Kinder helped me take my professional status to the next level. She leveraged my strengths and identified areas for improvement, working around my busy schedule to address each one. After working with Janice I can honestly say I feel prepared to deal with any situation that comes my way. Janice unlocked my full potential as a manager. The experience I gained working with her was invaluable and I can confidently state I would not be as effective a manager or leader without her coaching. One of the best parts of working with Janice is that the methods she teaches are applicable to a broad range of situations. This prepares you for success in the future, not just the immediate situations at hand. She is an amazing resource for professional development. I encourage every manager out there to spend as much time with her as you can!”

Janice developed a leadership development program for our operations team; as part of this work, we commissioned a DISC behavior profile workshop for all managers and myself. The workshop was very well received and we found Janice’s approach to be very productive, positive and thoughtful. Many of our managers have requested bringing this workshop to their own teams. I found Janice’s role a critical part of the DISC project’s success.”
